ETSY processing fees
Selling on Etsy means juggling four different fees on every order, and most sellers don’t realize how much they’re actually losing until payout day. Our Etsy Fee Calculator fixes that in three simple steps. Enter your listing price and product cost, pick whether the order came through Offsite Ads or organic search, and instantly see your Etsy fees, net payout, and real profit per sale. No formulas, no spreadsheets, just the honest numbers you need before you list, discount, or restock your shop.
Type in the price you charge buyers on Etsy. The calculator uses this to apply the correct transaction and payment processing fees.
Include materials, packaging, shipping label cost, and any Etsy Ads spend per unit so your profit number reflects the real picture.
Hit calculate and instantly see every Etsy fee broken down, your net payout after Etsy takes its cut, and your true profit per sale.
Selling on Etsy looks simple on the surface. You set a price, hit publish, and wait for the orders to roll in. Then the payout lands and it’s $3.80 short per sale. Multiply that by 200 orders a month and suddenly you’ve lost $760 you never accounted for.
That’s exactly what this Etsy profit calculator is built to prevent. Enter your sale price, product cost, shipping, and ad spend, and get a complete picture of your Etsy seller fees, net payout, profit margin, and break-even price before you list. Works for sellers in the US, UK, Europe, and Australia, so you know the real cost to sell on Etsy in your currency, not a rough guess.
The Etsy Fee Calculator works out every fee Etsy charges on a sale — the $0.20 listing fee, the 6.5% transaction fee, payment processing fees, and Offsite Ads cuts when they apply. It then subtracts your product cost and ad spend to show your real net profit per order. Basically, it tells you what you actually keep after Etsy takes its share.
Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee on the total order amount, including the item price, shipping, gift wrapping, and personalization charges. So if a buyer pays $40 for an item plus $5 shipping, the 6.5% applies to the full $45. This fee is deducted automatically from your payout before the money reaches your bank account.
Etsy Payments charges a country-based payment processing fee on every order. For US sellers it's 3% + $0.25 per transaction, while UK, EU, and other regions follow their own local rates. This fee is separate from the 6.5% transaction fee, and our calculator applies the correct rate based on your selected currency.
The Etsy listing fee is $0.20 per item, charged the moment you publish a listing or when it auto-renews after 4 months. It's also charged again each time you sell a listed item, since the listing renews automatically. Whether your listing sells or not, that $0.20 still applies, so it's a real cost worth tracking.
If Etsy advertises your product on Google, Facebook, or other platforms and a buyer purchases through that ad, Etsy charges an Offsite Ads fee of 15% (or 12% if you make over $10,000 a year on Etsy). This fee comes on top of the standard transaction and payment fees, which can quietly cut deep into your margin. Our calculator includes this so your profit number isn't a surprise.
Most Etsy sellers underestimate the stacking effect of fees. A single $40 sale can lose around $4–6 to listing, transaction, and payment processing fees alone — and that's before COGS, shipping, and ads. The calculator exposes this stack clearly, so you can adjust your pricing or product mix to protect your margin instead of guessing.
